My narrative story - The Magical Garden

My Reflection

I had been learning how to write my own narrative story. I was excited when I first started. But then I realized some of the parts were tricky. It was hard using adjectives to make my sentences. But later on it became easy. When I was done I was proud of my work. I was proud of my writing, proud of my pictures proud of my title. I was proud of everything.

My recipe book

My reflection

I learned on how to make my own recipe book on the schools computer. I made instructions, what jobs you need and the ingredients in my recipe book. It was kinda tricky for me but turned out it wasn't anymore. Before we did that we tasted yummy and delicious food. But I first thought all the food that we tasted would taste yuck and bad and disgusting but it wasn't after all it taste very yum and delicious. The food that we made was pancakes, fruit kebabs, lemonade and matariki soup. The favorite food that I taste was pancakes.

A Puppet Show

WALT create and perform a puppet show.

Room 10/11 had a great opportunity to create and perform a puppet show from scratch! They had to write the script, make the stage and props such as a butterfly, a cocoon, a caterpillar and different types of foods. They practised for a few weeks and developed their acting and understanding of stage performance. Take a look at Zoe's group’s performance. (Please click the title above the picture)

The very big fat caterpillar

Setting description: a brown house is sitting on a hill and butterflies are flying in the sky. The sun is bright and shining on the worms. The jewellery is glowing in the ground.

(a caterpillar is coming out of an egg, wiggling back and front and its ears and head)

Narrator: once upon a time there was a little egg pop! A little caterpillar came out of an egg.
Narrator: he was so hungry so he ate his egg and found some leaves.
Narrator: first he ate a strawberry.
Narrator: next he ate two bananas.
Narrator: then he ate three watermelons. After that he ate four apples.
Narrator: lastly he ate four lollipops again!
Narrator: when he was done eating he was a fat caterpillar.
Narrator: he was a super fat caterpillar full in his tummy then the caterpillar got fuller and fuller and then he got fatter and fatter and fatter.
Narrator: then he found himself a safe tree so he made himself a cocoon.
Narrator: after 19 days he turned into a butterfly! The End.
